Fables Storytelling in Aberystwyth this week - New Venue!

Hello folks,

Wow what a summer! Wild Tales storytelling festival was wonderful, did you manage to catch any of the events? I've just gotten home from debuting a new show with Moth on the harp - which we shared a sneak preview of in the spring (watch the WIP sharing here!)

As the nights lengthen again its time to gather on comfy sofas with a nice cuppa and share stories... Fables has found a new home in the Climate Shop. Have you been in to see the new shop yet? It is a gorgeous space, light and airy, with a cosy café space which they've said we can use every month for free!

Come along on the first Wednesday of the month (every month) at 7pm!

NEW VENUE: Climate Shop Café

Wednesday 3rd September, 7-8:30pm at the Climate Shop Café, Market Street, Aberystwyth.

Bring a short story, song, or poem or just your listening heart. You don't need to tell a tale but you can if you wish, just volunteer on the night.

Free entry, donations welcome to help plant trees!

Happy thoughts,

~Halo

Hello folks, We have an April Fool's Day Fables next week!!! No pranks (it's after midday) but I wonder if anyone will bring a trickster tale? In March we ended up with historical theme to the stories - Tales of Saint David, Saint Collen, and Mother Shipton - poetry, and a song or two, and this led our newest attendees to ask if the stories have to be historical. Absolutely not! We welcome all oral stories, from history, myth, legend, folklore, and your own creations. Over the years we've...

Stay in, stay warm, and if you're missing the stories tonight you can check out some of the tales from Fables in previous years on my YouTube channel here: Aber Fables & Other...
