July Fables on the Beach and Wild Tales Storytelling Festival!


Hello folks,

This month we have Fables (tomorrow) and Wild Tales, the storytelling festival along the coast of Wales, from Aberystwyth to Newport, from 9th-13th July.

Join us on the first Wednesday of the month (every month) now at 7pm!

BEACH FABLES

Wednesday 2nd July, 7-8:30pm we'll be meeting on South Beach by the Hut, as in June.

Bring a short story, song, or poem or just your listening heart.

(And if you fancy a fire, pick up a couple of sticks to feed the flames.)

Wild Tales in Aberystwyth - Saturday 12th July

The Goblin Circus and friends from the Masquerade will be out busking with music and song on Aberystwyth prom from midday to 1:30pm. Bring a donation for the hat and see if you can spot us. Updates will be posted on the Goblin Circus Facebook page on the day here!

Also in Aberystwyth that day will be Milly Jackdaw sharing a workshop for children 10am -11:30am in Penglais Woods - The Tale of Teg with changelings and magic!

From 2pm Peter Stevenson and Colin Urwin, will be leading a story-walk from Tanybylch beach with Irish and Welsh Folk Tales of Coast and Sea,

And finally we'll enjoy an open story session at the Bank Vault from 4pm, hosted by folk singer, storyteller and seanchai Colin Urwin from the Glens of Antrim!

Hello folks, We have an April Fool's Day Fables next week!!! No pranks (it's after midday) but I wonder if anyone will bring a trickster tale? In March we ended up with historical theme to the stories - Tales of Saint David, Saint Collen, and Mother Shipton - poetry, and a song or two, and this led our newest attendees to ask if the stories have to be historical.
