Storytelling and Goblins in Ceredigion!
Hello folks! Fables and the Goblin MasqueradeYou're receiving this because you signed up to either Fables or the Goblin Masquerade newsletter, or both, and the platform I was using has closed so we've moved over to a snazzy new set up and a general Mailing List for wyrd & wonderful Storytelling in Ceredigion! The next few months we have several storytelling things for your diary, and I thought I'd let you know what's already booked in. Our next Fables is on 3rd February at The Bookshop by the Sea, Aberystwyth, 7pm - 8:30pm - donations welcome, no-one turned away for lack of funds. Bring a tale to tell if you like, it's a safe space to try things out. (Join the Fables FB Group Here) And The Goblin Masquerade is on Saturday 9th March, in Borth Community Hall. The Goblin Market (with free entry and entertainment all day) runs from 1pm - 6pm, and the Fairytale Ball doors open again at 7pm! Evening tickets are now available! Acts and stalls will be announced very soon...
On 26th April Milly Jackdaw and myself will be bringing Thereby Hangs a Tale to Aberystwyth Arts Centre. Shakespeare and Fairy Tales... explored! We shared parts of as a work-in-progress piece at Fables in September, watch this space for tickets when they're released. And on 30th April I'm offering Tales After Dark - an adult storytelling show of stories and songs dripping in euphemistic delight! - at the Bank Vault, Aberystwyth. There'll also be another Fables in April, and the Bookshop is running the Aberystwyth Poetry Festival in May! In Other News: The local Pagan Moot is also launching monthly evening talks at the Bank Vault, Myth and Magic Tuesdays, which some of you might be interested in! These start on 23rd January with a talk from me on Storytelling as Magic! Some of the talks will be more myth themed, and some more magical, feel free to come to the ones that sound interesting to you :) Free entry, though we'll pass the hat for the speaker! In March we ended up with historical theme to the stories - Tales of Saint David, Saint Collen, and Mother Shipton - poetry, and a song or two, and this led our newest attendees to ask if the stories have to be historical.
