Hello folks!

I've finally recovered from the mischief that was The THIRD Goblin Masquerade in Borth, organised by the Goblin Circus, which was utterly wonderful! Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for the Market and the Ball, to all the performers and traders and volunteers who made it possible. Can't wait for next year... (and we might be brewing some extra events too... who fancies an afternoon of merfolk and sirens in Aberystwyth? Watch this space...)

April Fables This Weekend

The next few months we have several storytelling things for your diary, and I thought I'd let you know what's already booked in.

Our next Fables is on Saturday 6th April at The Bookshop by the Sea, Aberystwyth, 7pm - 8:30pm - donations welcome, no-one turned away for lack of funds. Bring a tale to tell if you like, it's a safe space to try things out. (EVENT PAGE - or - Join the Fables FB Group Here)

On 26th April Milly Jackdaw and myself will be bringing Thereby Hangs a Tale to Aberystwyth Arts Centre. Shakespeare and Fairy Tales... explored! Get your tickets for THaT here!

And on 30th April I'm bringing the Faery Doctor to the Bank Vault, Aberystwyth. Join me for an evening of storytelling and medicinal myths! (Free entry - donations welcome)

The Aberystwyth Steampunk crew are bringing Star Wars themed Steampunk to Portmeirion for a creative social weekend on May 4th (and 5th)...

And the Bookshop is running the Aberystwyth Poetry Festival in May too!

In Other News:

The local Pagan Moot runs monthly evening talks at the Bank Vault, Myth and Magic Tuesdays, which some of you might be interested in! Next up - Tuesday 23rd May with a talk on Arboromancy, ie working magic with trees! Some of the talks will be more myth themed, and some more magical, feel free to come to the ones that sound interesting to you :) Free entry, though we'll pass the hat for the speaker!

Hello folks, Wow what a summer! Wild Tales storytelling festival was wonderful, did you manage to catch any of the events? I've just gotten home from debuting a new show with Moth on the harp - which we shared a sneak preview of in the spring (watch the WIP sharing here!) As the nights lengthen again its time to gather on comfy sofas with a nice cuppa and share stories... Fables has found a new home in the Climate Shop. Have you been in to see the new shop yet? Hello folks, This month we have Fables (tomorrow) and Wild Tales, the storytelling festival along the coast of Wales, from Aberystwyth to Newport, from 9th-13th July. Join us on the first Wednesday of the month (every month) now at 7pm! BEACH FABLES Wednesday 2nd July, 7-8:30pm we'll be meeting on South Beach by the Hut, as in June. Hello folks, Some news... the Goblins will be popping up in July, but first Fables next month. For Fables in 2025 we have moved to monthly! Join us on the first Wednesday of the month (every month) now at 7pm! HOWEVER, next Fables will be on the BEACH!
